Linking Generations in Northern Ireland

The Centre for Intergenerational Practice (CIP) in the UK was established in April 2001 and is part of the Beth Johnson Foundation. Its aims are to support the development of intergenerational practice throughout the UK and to promote an understanding of the potential of intergenerational practice to address social issues. The Beth Johnson Foundation welcomes the chance to work in partnership supporting the Linking Generations in Northern Ireland initiative to develop innovative intergenerational community programmes and engagement strengthening relationships across the generations. Launched by Belfast Lord Mayor, Naomi Long Linking Generations in Northern Ireland builds on and extends previous and on-going intergenerational initiatives in Belfast and Newtownards

The Role of Intergenerational Initiatives in Reducing Fear of Crime (to include Supporting the Social Intergration of Older People with Disabilities) Research undertaken by
Centre for Intergenerational Practice and Commissioned by the Community Safety Unit Northern Ireland Office.
